We have provided Anger Management on an individual basis as well as providing group counseling.
We founded "Powell River and Parksville Men's Groups", for persons sent to us by the courts and probation, both in Powell River and Parksville, BC.
We developed programs based on "Men's Work" from Minnesota and the "Victoria Project", of Victoria, BC.
Lorne taught Anger Management at Malaspina University College, Powell River, BC.
PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder)
Traumatic experiences, like the loss of a child, or suicide, abuse, etc., happen without respect of person or circumstance. Sometimes it appears that we get 'stuck' in our grief or circumstance. It is as if our 'alarm button' is 'stuck' in the 'on' position. We may be suffering from symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress. We will help you process these events and walk through them with you -- to resolve.
CISD (critical incidence stress debriefing)
We facilitate CISD and have done so with individuals as well as for several major companies, institutions, and organizations.
An event has just occurred. It is unexpected, certainly senseless and sometimes violent. It affects both you , the victim, and your co-workers. This single incident can take away your sense of security and well-being; and will, for a short time, impair your ability to function normally.
